MIL C38999 series I

This series is very old and not often used for new projects,
because it is too large and too heavy.
Mostly you find it in trucks and tanks, where weight is not of interest.

MIL C38999 series II

This series II is also called "pancake connector" because its very flat.
The handicap of this series is: no scoop proove.
Therefore you find it not in applications where "blind mating" is necessary,
because it is possible to damage the pin contacts.

MIL C38999 series III

This is the future in circular military connectors !
This series includes everything a connector should have :
100 % scoop proove.
Absolutly water tight.
Best EMI / EMV- shielding (metal to metal and via grounding strap)
Quick triple start self locking threading coupling.
Temperature range : -65° C up to 200° C
Unaffected by severe vibration.
Starting mid of 1998 we supply this series also as COMPOSITE version.
(Corrosion resistant, leight weight version, withstand up to 2000 hours salt spray exposure)

From 1 to 128 contacts
Contacts size 22D to 8
Coax, Twinax, Triax or fibre optic contacts available
Also dip solder versions

Declaration of scoop proove :

In every military circular connector series the wall mount box mount-inline and straight
plug shells are the same, wether pin- or socket inserts are installed or not.
Therefore it is possible to connect a straight plug pin connector in a wall mount pin connector.
Scoop proove is, when both pins do not come together to create a short circuit.
